In Music, I taught music in San Francisco at a music school. Also in Pasadena California I taught a children's choir and again here in Wshington I taught a children's choir at Mercer Island Covenant Church. At Mercer Island, I directed many musicals and programs I wrote as well. I also attended Point Loma College for 3.5 years in music education including playing piano, oboe, and clarinet. Achieved a 4.0 in Music Theory and Music History as well.

In Math and English, I assisted a number of students along with my own sons ... I had over 20 high school exchange students live with me and helped them learn not only English but the subjects that they faced in high school. I took significant courses in mathematics and achieved 99% on the SAT as well as both of my sons. I also enjoy math.

In Speech, I graduated with honors at University of Washington in Speech Communication.

In English, I was an editor of law review in law school and won the writing contest to obtain this position.

I also studied art at Pasadena College and when a high school student attended Art Institute of Chicago studying painting and drawing. I also studied with Nancy Johnson and Nancy Taylor Stonington as well. I do water color, acrylic and oil. Most recently more oil.

Drawing

I took several courses at the Art Institute of Chicago. I also took numerous drawing, painting water color, oil and acrylic at Pasadena College majoring in fine arts music and art. Post college I took many workshops in oil, water color and acrylic.

Painting

I originally began to paint in grammar school. I received a scholarship to Chicago Art Institute for a summer program for children when I was in eighth grade. I later studied art at Pasadena College where I went for 3.5 years studying Art and Music. After marrying and moving to Washington state I continued to paint. In 1995 I continued my interest in art studying water color with Nancy Johnson at the New School of Vsual Concepts. I also had workshops with Nancy Stonington as well.

More recently I studied acrylics with Master painter Dan Price at Northwest University. I have this summer been certified by Grumbacher Paint company as a fine art instructor in acrylics for them. I do workshops for them in Acrylics. Over the past 3 years I have taught Acrylics and water color painting on Bainbridge Island in Washington and in Poulsbo Washington. I taught seniors, youth, as well as young adults. Some workshops out of my home and some through park districts. I'm sure I should be qualified to teach painting in oils, Acrylics and water color.

Public Speaking

I majored in Public Speaking and have a BA in Speech Communication from Univ of Washington. I was an honor student and participated in several competitions. I helped and critiqued in competitions as well.

I also practiced law and argued before Washington State Supreme Court, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Representing Focus on the Family, I prepared amici presentations to the United States Supreme Court I. At my law school was asked to return and judge moot court competitions and other competitions involving oral arguments/presentations.

I have spoken at many different types of fund raising events on a number of issues. As a speaker I have been complimented on my good diction and strong interest in the subject about which I am speaking.

I have helped numerous others in this area especially to avoid the "pregnant pause", fears and diction. I am certain I will be able to help students in this area to succeed.

SAT Math

I started college as a math major and did exceptionally well in math on my SAT. Both my sons got in the 99th percentile.

Speech

I have my BA in Speech and Speech communications from University of Washington. I have also practiced law and have an extensive background in presenting complicated and critical information which may or may not be positive. I have also had a great deal of experience interviewing witnesses and investigations as well. I taught witness interviewing at University of Washington graduate program for paralegals.
