I have extensive experience tutoring and classroom teaching and have worked with both high school and college students in prealgebra, algebra 1,algebra 2 / intermediate algebra, geometry, trigonometry, college algebra, precalculus, statistics, and calculus. I passed the CBEST test in Math and English, and taught high school math at private schools for 5 years. Tutoring focus is on the student's preferred mode of learning and we benefit from multiple explanations available for clarifying math concepts. My enjoyment of math generally enhances the learning experience and productivity of the student.
In addition, I hold a Master's Degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology. At the community college level, I have taught social science courses and have worked with students in special services and re-entry services. I am currently an MFT (marriage and family therapy) intern, working toward licensure. My counseling education and experience contribute to the student learning experience.
