I can offer a unique experience in that I speak two different languages and have had the experience of living in two cultures. I was born in Venezuela, then moved here when I was nine. English is definitely my first language but Spanish is my native tongue, and I can understand and speak it fluently. I have studied here my entire life and received a BFA in sculpture from the University of Kansas. I have also received a Pro Tools Assistant certificate plus musical training from Long Beach City College. I have taught at the Marie Walsh Art Institute for two summers in a row during 2000 and 2001. While there, I was in charge of running a print making workshop each year. Therefore I have an artistic vision and approach to teaching that is based on independent relationships to each student that is to say I can relate to the students on their personal level. It is a more laid-back approach to teaching, but I never let the class get away from me.
