Students learn more when they are active participants in their own learning. In order to create a student-centered classroom, my role must be one of a facilitator to student learning. By incorporating projects and activities into the curriculum, students take charge of their own learning. My experience with high school and middle school students has prepared me to engage students from various backgrounds and impediments.
