I began tutoring physics twelve years ago because of my passion for the subject. I continue to tutor physics because I have discovered an equally profound passion for teaching. Many people dread or fear taking physics because of its reputation as impossible to grasp and boring. I feel it is my job to disprove both notions.
My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that my students' needs are of the utmost importance and that students learn best when they are actively engaged. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.
I specialize in physics and mathematics, from introductory mechanics and electromagnetism to algebra, calculus, and even quantum mechanics. This allows me to focus on the nuances of technical learning and education.
I have been a Professor of Physics at a local community college for three years. I was a teaching assistant, earning an Outstanding Teaching Associate of the Year Award from the American Association of Physics Teachers for 2008.
