The prospect of offering my experience and vitality to students in need is thrilling.
I have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring all grade levels. During my years as a tutor and a teacher, I have filled different positions that have allowed me to realize the importance of reaching out to communities in need. Time and time again I saw that by creating a more robust learning environment, more educational goals were met.
As an instructor I have had the opportunity to help students in different grade levels. I have tutored one-on-one as well as in groups. I have tutored SAT prep throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. On average my students have always increased their scores by at least 100 points and, in some cases, scores have increased over 300 points.
Besides SAT, I have also tutored writing and math. My tutoring style is engaging and very friendly. I want to make sure the student feels comfortable with me so that they can open up and tell me exactly what area they need the most help in. I am also very communicative and keep a constant conversation with students and parents to inform them of progress made. Teaching these programs allowed me to experience the importance of additional tutoring and creating a support system for students. My goal, ultimately, is to make sure that the student improves grades and scores. This will be done thorough tested methods that can be fun and entertaining.
