I am a multilingual tutor, fluent in Italian, Russian, and English, intermediate in French and Spanish. I have a CA Teacher's Credential and thus have been fingerprinted and passed a background check. Currently I am employed as a substitute teacher in Long Beach School District. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Linguistic University in Belarus, where I gained the knowledge on how to effectively teach foreign languages, literature, and translation techniques to students. In addition I graduated from CSULB with a Master's degree in Education, Dual Language Development, while at the same time pursuing a Teacher's Credential in Single Subject in teaching languages. I have maintained 4.0 GPA and became a distinguished member of PKP and Golden Key Honor's Societies of Academic Excellence. I also acquired a Certificate in teaching English as a Second Language from Oxford Seminars. I have been tutoring foreign languages for more than 12 years. Most of my students make a great progress and compliment me on making complex material clear, organizing engaging and challenging lessons, tailoring lessons according to their individual needs, and inspiring them to master foreign languages. I use a variety of materials, such as videos, songs, images, and authentic texts. My international experience make me a unique teacher. I have studied in Eastern and Western Europe and in the USA, which gives me opportunities to select the most effective instructional strategies from around the word and incorporate them in my lessons. I believe one has to love what one does in order to be great at it. I feel very passionate about teaching world languages and cultures and would love to share my knowledge with you!
