Well, I'm currently tutoring and working as an assistant to my old Japanese teacher at Long Beach City College. My major is Japanese and I have always been fond of it.
Some people ask me, "So how did you get into Japanese? Was it because of the anime?" No, my reason for being into it is because of everything it offers. I love the culture, the people, the food, the music, and everything about it.
The language is so beautiful but I wont lie: It's really hard to learn it, but once you do learn it, you get a feeling of accomplishment. That's the same feeling I had when I took my first class.
I teach a wide array of Japanese, but mostly beginning and moderate Japanese. I find that people just want to learn the basics of Japanese and nothing more, so although I do teach intermediate levels, my focus is on the basics.
