I am a student at Cal State Long Beach. I am double majoring in Business Management and Industrial Design with a minor in French. I am a very positive and outgoing person and I feel this can be seen when I give tutoring lessons. I think it is important to enjoy the subject you are trying to learn in order to understand it better. Therefore, I gear my lessons, based upon the person, in a way that the student will enjoy learning the subject and as an end result understand the subject better. I have taken numerous math classes for my Business major and have often helped my fellow classmates understand the material. I also just got back this past summer from studying abroad in Paris where I gave English conversation courses to university students trying to improve their English. I have many helpful mnemonics to help learners remember math formulas as well as tricky English words. While studying abroad in Paris I gave conversation courses in English to University students. I liked to switch up the material we were learning by doing one reading class, one culture class, and then one fun class. These classes would last for two hours and their native language was not to be used during that time period.
