I recently graduated with honors from UC Santa Barbara(Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology, Spring 2012). I have previous experience tutoring 5th graders in math and English. My more recent tutoring experience includes helping independent study and home school high-school-age students with their homework. The subjects I tutor most are Algebra, Geometry, English, History and Biology. As for tutoring style, I am flexible and can adjust to the individual needs of your student. I usually employ the step-by-step process where the student first demonstrates what they know and where they need some assistance. My job is to help fill in the gaps of knowledge, not to over-teach or confuse the student. I strongly believe that learning should be enjoyable no matter what the subject is.
