I have traveled, lived and worked internationally. I am detailed oriented with excellent organizational and linguistic skills. I have a strong working knowledge of French, with twelve years' study at school and university. I graduated from Queen's University of Belfast with a Bachelor of Education Honors. My double major was French and Educational Studies. This degree also certified me to teach in schools in the United Kingdom. In addition to four years in college, I spent one year in Paris, France, teaching English language classes to French high school students. This year overseas was part of my degree course.
After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I secured a position as French teacher in a private High School, preparing the students for the General Certificate of Education examination in French. Following this one year appointment, I then spent almost four years in Germany, where I taught children of Armed Forces employees as well as adults at Community College and private companies.
My emphasis in language teaching is to build a solid grammar basis, to develop language structures and a core vocabulary, and to facilitate accurate and disciplined pronunciation.
