I have taken precalculus and physics.
I have been working with computers for over ten years. I know how to use Windows 95, XP, Vista, 7. I'm also familiar with Mac OS X.
I received my Associate in Science degree in Computer Applications in fall 2011 from Antelope Valley College. Office applications include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. I also have a basic foundation in programming working with visual basic and some HTML.
As for the creative side, I have been using Adobe Photoshop for several years. I took a graphic design class last year to refine my skills and grow as a graphic designer. I mainly edit photos, but I have done several personal graphic designs. I spent my Christmas break teaching myself how to use Adobe InDesign, and since then, I have worked with it to develop the school newspaper, and taught fellow classmates how to use the program. More recently, I have begun volunteering for a print publications organization preparing books for digital format and helping out with any other assignments they give to me.
I'm also a photographer. I photograph a little bit of everything. I have personally read several books on composition, how to shoot, equipment, methods, and how it works. I have also taken a couple classes to improve my areas of shooting.
In addition to holding the position of layout editor for the school newspaper, I also held the photo editor position. I assigned several freelance photographers to projects and worked with them to edit photos for print.
My tutoring method would be one step at a time. Get a foundation and build upon it. In the more creative areas though, I like to know ahead of time of the student's expectation.
I strive for excellence in what I do. I'm very well organized and do my best to improve everyday.
