My name is Carlos.

I received my bachelor's degree from St. John's University and a masters degree from New York University. I am a fully licensed Teacher with a Single Subject Credential in English. I have over ten years of classroom experience, specifically teaching English Language Arts and English Language Development. I am fluent in Spanish and have also taught Spanish. I have taught grades 8-12, as well as English as a Second Language at Adult School. I have also taught the CA High School Exit Exam prep course for 10th graders. I have a wide range of experience and I've worked with all types of students. I have some experience working with special-need students. I am very patient, competent and know how to explain things clearly.

In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, playing chess and working out.
