I have seventeen years of experience as a writing and reading tutor and instructor at the college level. I am also experienced with literature, literary theory, and art history; I hold a BA in English and studied at the graduate level in English and Art History. I am not only knowledgeable in my chosen subjects, I enjoy them. There is nothing I enjoy more than reading a good book or writing something I am proud of. I want to give others those feelings of joy and accomplishment as well.
While I have excellent knowledge of grammar and usage, I am best at helping students shaping and understanding their writing. Language doesn't have to be fancy or complicated to be impressive. My philosophy is that simplicity and clarity can get you anywhere you want to go. I can provide any student with the skills they will need to succeed in school and in life. Good writing and reading skills are necessary for all academic subjects; they will also help you achieve career goals in the future.
