I am a teacher and a former engineer who has always loved tutoring. Working one on one with students allows me to cater to students' academic needs. I have a multiple subject teaching credential, previously worked as an engineer for IBM, and obtained degrees in Chemistry and Engineering. My prior experience has given me an extensive background in math and the physical sciences, such as chemistry and physics. I also enjoy bringing in real life applications of math and science to increase my students' understanding of the subject matter.
With today's larger class sizes and the importance placed on standardized testing, I understand how students may need additional instructional time or need to get questions answered that the classroom teacher may not have a chance to cover.
