My students engage in motivating strategies that integrate speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students learn to use their most effective and efficient learning modalities.
I enjoy teaching at all levels and love igniting the learning modality, or best way a student learns, often unknown by the student, to make something being struggled with fun and easier by approaching it in a new way.

I have currently earned the CLAD (Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development) Certificate from UCLA, issued 4/4/2014 for teaching English Language Learners.
This certificate was "Earned With Distinction" as in each class I earned an A+. I mention this because most of the teaching strategies I have employed in my 35 year career are the research-based best practices that we learned here. I also learned many more to add that I am most excited to implement.
