I have taught school for more than 20 years. Most of those years I worked with special needs children from K to grade 12. I was a Resource Room teacher and also had my own Special Day Class. Currently, I am a substitute teacher for the Orange County Department of Education Alternative Education.

I can also teach 3-5 year olds at preschool level.

I have tutored students in various subjects, including Reading Comprehension, Spelling, English, basic computer skills, and software applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

I recently earned a degree as a paralegal. I have been tutoring a student (English is her second language), seeking help with subjects of Family Law, Evidence, Civil Litigation, Legal Research, Legal Writing and Analysis. I am also doing legal research work for an attorney who advocates for parents and their special needs children.

Microsoft Excel

MS Excel is a spreadsheet program. Using this program will enable you to manipulate and analyze data. You'll be able to put your data into charts (bar, pie). You'll also be able to export your data into other Office programs.

General Computer

I am CompTIA A+ certified. I spent 14 years in the in the computer department at the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy working the help-desk, networking computers, and helping the faculty, staff and students learn how to use computers.

Microsoft Word

MS Word is a word-processing program used for creating documents such as letters, brochures, learning activities, tests, quizzes and students' homework assignments.

Microsoft PowerPoint

The main purpose of MS PowerPoint is to enable the user to create dynamic, informational slide shows through the use of text, graphics, and animation. Slide shows created with the software are displayed on projection screens for business, training, or educational presentations, and they can be distributed as stand-alone files. Law

I recently received an A.A. degree in Legal Studies (paralegal). Although it wasn't law school, we covered all aspects of the law including Contracts, Real Property, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, Wills, Trusts & Probate, Torts, Research, Writing & Analysis, Software in the Legal Office.

Elementary Math

I have taught in the primary grades. Many of my materials I make myself. I have lots of interesting ways to have a child learn math. I would love to share them.

Math skills are necessary in real life and teaching them is what I do.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a B.S.Ed. in elementary education. I also have an M.Ed. in special education. This allows me to work with children with special needs through High School. I am certified for Grammar, Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary,and for MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Phonics

For many years, I taught in the elementary grades where phonics instruction was stressed during reading time. Networking (Computer)

I am CompTia A+ Certified. I worked at a well-known university for 14 years. I was help desk manager. Along with my other duties, I helped in networking the college as it transitioned from stand-alone computers to a network. I helped with the rewiring and wiring in the closets. Dyslexia

I have a M.Ed. in Learning Disabilities from National College of Education. I was a Resource Teacher, having contact with children who had dyslexia.
