I have experience teaching preschool, kindergarten, 5th, and 6th grades. I love working with children of all ages! I have experience in dealing with students who are above grade level and I enjoy working to challenge their advanced understanding of subject matter. I also have experience in working with struggling students. It is important to differentiate curriculum and teaching style or methods no matter what ability level your student is at. It is imperative to get an accurate picture of your student's level in math, reading comprehension, and phonics. I have MANY of my own materials to use with students or I am happy to use something you provide, as long as it's developmentally appropriate for your student. I've experienced great success in my years of teaching and helping students work to their fullest potential.
I am certified by WyzAnt in the following subjects: American history, elementary K-6, elementary math, elementary science, grammar, Microsoft Word, phonics, reading comprehension, social studies, spelling, and vocabulary.
In this time of large class sizes and struggling schools, students are more likely to be overlooked, usually through no fault of the teacher. We can all agree that our children's education should be the number one priority of our state, but at this time, it isn't.
