Hi, my name is Lisa. I have lived in Laguna Niguel since 1998 where I have been tutoring students in grades K-8. I have over 20 years experience as a resource teacher and private tutor. I got my BA in Elementary and special Education at Michigan State University and I have a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have passed the CBEST and CSET exams. I decided early on that I prefer working with students 1:1 or in small group instruction rather than in a classroom setting. I relate extremely well with children and teens. I have a son and daughter in their early 20s, and I absolutely love being a mom. Because I create such a comfortable learning environment, students are relaxed and make great gains in their academic skills.

Algebra 1

I love teaching Algebra I. I have been tutoring students in Algebra I for over 4 years. This summer I tutored a student for 24 hours who wanted to learn Algebra I over the summer so he could test into Algebra II in 8th grade. He accomplished his goal, and I will be providing tutoring support to him this year in Algebra II.

Elementary (K-6th)

I was Director of Education at The Reading Game and Britannica Learning Center for 3 years and a tutor for 10. I tutored students in K-8 in reading and math.
