With over 12 years teaching experience in both the elementary and middle school levels, and a teaching credential in two states I have the experience to help you have a successful school year! I specialize in math and use a variety of teaching strategies to assist students to understand difficult concepts. My philosophy is to identify the student's preferred learning modality and utilize that to help the student master the concepts. My belief is that it's easier and more beneficial to build on each individual student's strength, than it is to focus on an area of weakness which can often lead to a lot of frustration for the student. I have discovered that what often happens is a student will experience growth and development in areas of weakness as their confidence increases over time in other areas.
