I am an open minded, friendly, multicultural experienced teacher of foreign languages.
My native language is Arabic, grew up communicating in English as a second language, hence I have understanding of the difficulties learning a second language. I graduated from Baghdad University with a science degree, but my love for languages and the influence of my father who was a professor of English literature, lead me to languages teaching career.
While currently teaching Arabic privately, and during the over 20 years I taught Arabic and English in different countries, for different level and ages of students private and group settings, I always made sure learning is fun and my students leave with satisfaction and a smile of their faces. Quality is very important for me. That applies on listening to my student's needs, questions, planning accordingly and give a quality lesson as well.
Briefly here is my work history: Taught English to 9-year-old class at a private school in Baghdad. Owned and was the lead instructor at a private English School in Tokyo for ages 2-15 years old, as well as teaching evening classes to adults. Taught Arabic to students who worked at Arab Embassies in Tokyo. Taught Arabic to Officers in the Japanese Self Defense Forces. Worked as an Interpreter for Asahi TV, a Japanese TV Station translating from Al Jazeera (Arabic TV station). Worked at public elementary and junior high schools in Tokyo, teaching English language.
