My name is Jeanette and I am looking for part-time work as a tutor. I have a Level II Teaching Credential and a Masters degree in Special Education from California State University of Fullerton. I have a great deal of experience working with a broad range of students with varying abilities in both public schools and private home settings. I aim to provide students with a positive and enriching learning experience that can help them be active participants in the classroom, school and community. I recently took a leave of absence from full-time teaching since having my daughters, but am ready to return to teaching on a part-time basis.

ADD/ADHD

For over ten years I have worked with a broad range of students with varying abilities in both the private home setting and the public school setting. In my past teaching experiences, I provided students diagnosed with ADD/ADHD many visual supports and organizational strategies to help with them cope with the stress of academics and social culture.

Aspergers

I have a Level II Teaching credential and a Master's of Science in Special Education from California State University of Fullerton. Over the last ten years I have acquired a great deal of experience working with a broad range of students with varying needs and abilities in both public schools and private home settings. I have taught students diagnosed with Aspergers more socially appropriate and acceptable behaviors, in addition to various strategies that can help them achieve academic success.

Autism

For nearly ten years I have worked with a broad range of students on the Autism Spectrum. I have experience in working privately with families in the home setting and also in the public classroom and school setting. I can teach ABA and other methods, but I generally advocate for teaching students various functional life skills and academic skills that will help them succeed in the real world.

CBEST

I am a Level II credentialed teacher and have passed all sections of the CBEST. I can help students preparing for the CBEST by teaching them useful strategies to answer multiple-choice, short answer and essay questions in all subject areas.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have a Level II teaching credential and a Master of Science in Special Education from California State University of Fullerton. Over the last ten years I have acquired a great deal of experience teaching a broad range of students with varying needs and abilities in both public schools and private home settings. I have experience in teaching all subjects and have taught in both the general and special education classrooms.

Phonics

I have worked in the field of education for about 15 years, specifically with preschool and elementary school aged children. In my experience and schooling I have learned a variety of teaching strategies to help students develop phonemic awareness and improve their reading ability. My teaching strategies are based specifically on individual needs and learning styles.
