My name is Kim and I have been a tutor off and on for 9 years. I love working with young people and showing them that they really are smart. Many times, students just haven't been taught in a way that they can understand; that's where I come in! I have worked as a private tutor and at a high school with all grade levels, K-6 all the way through GRE prep. I am passionate about helping others and love when a student succeeds. I attended San Diego State University and majored in engineering.

I enjoy working with all students, those who want to get ahead, those who need clarification and those who have no idea where to start and are completely lost. Nowadays everything is so fast paced and rushed but with learning that doesn't always work. You need time to fully understand and comprehend what you are doing and I can help with that on all levels. I hope to work with you soon!

If I could go back in time and give myself one piece of academic or professional advice, I would say don't be afraid to ask questions!! I learned that the hard way as I silently struggled in some of my classes and didn't know what to do. I didn't want to raise my hand in class, and then I thought asking questions wouldn't make me look as smart as the other students so I stayed quiet. As time... read more
