I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2001 with a BA in Liberal Studies. I went on to the Graduate program and received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have taught elementary for 7 years. I have been a teacher of general as well as special education. I am very patient, understanding, and loving. I believe children all have unique and special qualities that set them apart. The joy I get when seeing a child succeed is beyond describable. Children all have a different way of learning, and it is my job to help them in the best way possible.
I like to make learning a fun and enjoyable experience. If I feel a child is getting frustrated, we take a break. I don't feel a child will give their all if they are frustrated. It is important for the child to know that they can take a break if they need too. Even adults need a 5 minute break sometimes. Learning should be fun, and it is my responsibility to make sure the child is having fun and learning at the same time. I feel movement is a key note in learning. Children should be able to move around and learn. Their are children who can just sit at a desk and work, but I feel that allowing a child to express their needs helps the teacher/tutor to communicate better with the child.
