Hi, my name is Wiki. I focus on the content and the student by making thoughtful preparation before lessons. If I could not solve your question right away, I would get it back to you as soon as possible. As a tutor, I also reflect on lessons, teaching methods, and the student’s performance. Teaching is not a stagnant state and should not be reading powerpoint presentation all the way through, however, the teacher to student ratio is still dropping due to budget cuts. This is where tutoring gives you the most advantage ahead of others especially when teachers grade on a curve.
I graduated from an academically competitive high school. I took AP chemistry, AP calculus and AP physics during my senior year. Chemistry and calculus are my favorite subjects and I passed the AP exams with 5. Physics is not my expertise and I only score 3 on that. Other than science classes, I can also help you on Chinese if you have that as your foreign language class. I scored 780 on the SAT II Chinese Subject Test. I am currently a senior biochemistry undergrad at UC Riverside. I have strong science background. I have participated in two research internships so I may have the knowledge to inspire you and to help you in the science classes. But what makes me a good tutor is that I have strong sense of purpose. I would like to find out what the tutees need and help them to accomplish their educational goals.
