In my 22 years of photography and countless hours behind the computer, my understanding and passion has always been relevant to my dedication to art in whatever form it may be. As a student again, I know that hard work and
dedication is part of the learning process. Having the advantage of real life experiences helps me see light in a different way. These values I have successfully passed on to students with disadvantages that want to make photography
My expertise is photography and design. Whether to conceptualize, layout or manipulate my goals have been the same. Starting with the understanding of what a camera can do and why lighting and composition matter is an essential part of the teaching curriculum. With the new technology of today and taking the darkroom to the computer there are endless possibilities and room for improvement.
I teach photography and all creative suites that are adobe based. These programs have forever changed the way a person takes a photograph. I have learned my skills from the pros but I teach with the ease of providing real life assignments and understanding.
Although my teaching standards are easy, I try to communicate the importance of lighting and composition as the backbone of photography. Whether manipulating an image in Photoshop or designing a logo in Illustrator or maybe learning the layout in InDesign. I have challenged myself in learning something everyday.
To ensure my students have the most of my time I am more than happy to travel to or meet up somewhere to make a comfortable study area. I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy and do offer make up time.
I have worked with students from ages 12 to 75. Teaching has made me realize that age is no factor in having fun. I look forward in
helping you achieve a successful path, whatever that may be.
