I've been helping people understand math for a long time, from helping classmates in middle school, through college tutoring jobs, and even as a teacher for 12 years. We'll fill in your blanks - even draw pictures, sing songs, use colored pencils or whatever else it takes for you to understand. From "big picture thinking" to ways to approach the problem, techniques for your situation are provided. Life is TOO short to let a math class stop you from doing what you want to do!

I'm a credentialed teacher - ten years in the southern CA area, more in the Midwest - so I'm familiar with the standards students have to address.

Algebra 1

I love Algebra, and have a lot of ways to help you understand the basics that your teacher never taught you. I have hands-on manipulatives that really help. Together we can help you understand it and use it in your classes!

Algebra 2

As a Kansas and California Credentialed math teacher, I have taught Algebra 2 in high school for PAY - as a full-time teacher and as a tutor.

Geometry

Former member of a geometry teacher team at my school, created to increase state test scores (we were successful!).

Prealgebra

As a Kansas and CA-credentialed teacher, I have taught pre-algebra for pay. :)

As a KS- and CA-credentialed teacher, I have taught Precalculus in the classroom and as a tutor for pay.

As a Kansas-credentialed teacher, I have taught Trigonometry in the classroom and to tutors for pay.

SAT Math

I'm interested in helping your student do well on the SAT and ACT tests. As a result of my test scores, I received scholarships to two universities. I am now a credentialed teacher looking to help students achieve their goals. I have references on WyzAnt's site.

GED

As a KS-and CA-credentialed teacher, as well as eligible for MENSA designation, I am qualified to tutor for the GED.

ACT Math

I became a math teacher by scoring high on the ACT and earning scholarships. I have over 10 years teaching experience, and more as a tutor.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
