Hi, I am Monica! I am a Spanish native speaker from Colombia. I have assisted students for several years in Total Spanish Immersion Programs and Government Programs. I also have collaborated with school staff for the purpose of developing programs and classes to support non-English speaking parents and students.

I have implemented instructional programs and lesson plans for Spanish learners. I actively engage students and incorporate FUN activities to cultivate a well-disciplined and highly motivated learning environment.

I have a BA of Science in Psychology from Colombia, post degree in project Management from Spain and Child Development from San Diego.

My personal strengths include excellent one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills and bilingual communication skills. Intuitive and empathetic with good common sense, enthusiastic, receptive, enjoys a challenge, and I have a desire to work with persons of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.

Salsa Dancing

I am a native of Colombia who learned Latin dance as part of my cultural heritage. In order to update my dance skills, I have been taking intensive Salsa dancing and Zumba classes at Queen Bees, 24 Hours & the East County Family YMCA in San Diego, CA. I have acquired wide and varied professional experience supporting adult teaching in different subjects, and I would like to teach salsa dancing.
