Experienced, Credentialed Teacher: ESL, English, German, Piano

ESL: With over 20 years' experience teaching high school students from various language backgrounds, most entering ninth grade with no English at all, to quickly gain the needed proficiency to complete graduation and college entrance requirements on time, I have the material and techniques to help you with any level or skill. I have also enjoyed teaching English to middle-school, college, and adult students seeking professional advancement from many parts of the world privately, in language institute settings, and abroad.

German: Having attended German universities for three years, taught in German public schools for six years, and lived for a further four years in Germany, I have near-native fluency in speaking, reading, and writing, a CA credential, and college teaching experience as well to recommend me for tutoring or translating. How about a small class for beginners?

Piano: A graduate (BMu) of the Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester), I teach beginning and intermediate piano at my home studio in La Canada, providing a solid foundation featuring rapid progress and lots of fun. All ages. Begin now to be ready to play Christmas songs!

Piano

I have a Bachelor of Music (BMu) from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester (NY) with a major in Applied Music (Organ/Piano). I provide a solid foundation in classical piano. Beginners of all ages are welcome, including adults, as well as those who earlier in their lives studied piano and wish to resume study after a longer break.

ESL/ESOL

I am a California credentialed English teacher, with Language Development Specialist certification for teaching ESL in California schools, and have over 25 years' experience teaching students from many different language backgrounds in both public and private schools in this country and in Germany, as well as success with private tutoring, including adults who have been working/studying in California for some time and wish to perfect their English to an even higher level.
