Hi all, I am an Honors student at the University of Irvine (part of the campus wide honors program) and am looking to help anyone in the subjects of Chemistry, Biology, and other sciences. I love to teach general chemistry and biology and I have studied both these subjects throughout my college career. I have taken courses from general Biology to Microbiology as well as all the laboratories and reports that come with it! I also have a special interest in astronomy and have taught all these subjects to other college students as well as students in high school. I'm a very patient teacher and understand when someone is having difficulty with the material.
Before each lesson I give, I inquire which chapters give students difficulties as well as the types of problems they encounter. Based off of this information, I am able to plan the lesson ahead of time and create a more effective teaching method. If needed, I also provide students with additional handouts that only serve to help them remember what was learned during our sessions (study sheets, simple exercises, etc...). Although it's not required for a student to tell me the lesson ahead of time or to accept any additional handouts, I strongly encourage him or her to do so! It is NOT by any means additional homework; rather, of the students feels he or she needs more practice, then I am more than happy to accommodate. My current schedule permits me to meet with students from Monday through Thursday generally after 1pm. Please inquire if you have any specific questions.
I enjoy helping people overcome these obstacles and look forward to teaching you!
