Education: Adriana received her M.P.H. from UCLA in 2007, and in 2005 she received her B.S. in biological science
from the University of California. As an undergraduate she received the “Excellence in Science” award from the “Latinos in Science” organization
. As an outstanding undergraduate, she was selected as a peer mentor at UCLA Pathways - a program designed to help struggling students succeed. In 2013, she received her health education specialist credential.

Adriana’s success as a tutor is evidenced by her students’ achievements. She has helped several students bring their grades up from failing (or near failing) to B’s and A’s. Adriana understands that most students are capable of reaching their goals, but sometimes need an extra push in the right direction!
Fun: As a native of Ecuador, Adriana brings with her a global perspective (and fluent Spanish). As the daughter of a math educator, she knows the value of education and mathematics
