Hi,

My name is Desiree. I am passionate teacher who really enjoy helping students feel successful! I know all students are capable of doing well in school. Sometimes all students need to know that it is possible. Others need to learn how to stay organized and a few useful study skills. I have five years teaching experience in the Elementary schools and have a Certificate to Teach English as a Second Language (ESL). I enjoy teaching English, health, math and science. I took my CBEST and passed on 12/11/1993. After passing the CBEST, I received my Emergency Teaching Credential and entered a Teaching Credential program at CSUN. I taught 5 years on the credential, from Kindergarten to 12 grade. I had my own classroom 4 of the years and was a substitute 1 year.

Nutrition

I have studied nutrition and healthy eating during my yoga teacher training and took a class Wellness Cleanse that emphasized eating clean and seasonally. I have handouts and reference material.
