Hello. young scholars and supportive families. I am Daniel, a UCLA grad with a passion for sharing study strategies, knowledge and personal successes as a means for developing academic confidence in the students that I tutor and/or mentor. I have a wide range of academic interests as well as hobbies and business endeavors. Learning in general is always exciting; however, I've always loved math and foreign language. I studied abroad in Costa Rica the summer after my 3rd year at UCLA. It was one of the most enlightening and fun experiences of my life. While there, I lived with a family in the city of San Jose and attended La Universidad de Costa Rica. As part of the study abroad program, we traveled throughout the country exploring the vast jungles and tropical beaches. This experienced solidified my passion for Spanish language and culture.
Other than Spanish, I have other talents and skills that have shaped who I am and what I pursue. I was born into a musical family, receiving personal training in music theory, vocal performance, and classical piano performance since the age of 6. As a teenager, I picked up music production and became very familiar with all the technical aspects to music production, and sound engineering. During my 2nd year in college I started my independent record label WoodWorks Records that now provides music, clothes, and art to the Inglewood community.
I believe wholeheartedly that being academically strong opens doors in life and prepares students to be both successful and influential. I look forward to helping students reach their academic potential and discover the joy of learning.
