Throughout my schooling and career, my greatest accomplishments and satisfaction has come from helping others succeed.
I lived in Mexico for 15 years where I became proficient in speaking, writing and reading Spanish. I'm a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who graduated with a bachelor degree in Accounting and Economics in 2001 from Loyola Marymount University. Through my four years of undergraduate school, I volunteered in a mentoring program called “El Espejo” where I guided at-risk students, in under-privileged schools, through their academics and social challenges.
In 2001, I joined KPMG, a big four public accounting firm, where I was promoted to Manager within five years. Through those five years I guided various employees through their professional career within the Company and conducted week-long annual trainings where I taught staff and senior level employees complicated accounting topics and the Company’s audit methodology.
Since 2006, I’ve joined accounting teams in public companies such as Physicians Formula, Ameron International and most recently CoreLogic, Inc., where I am a Director of Accounting and SEC Reporting of a $1.5 billion Company and have dealt with various complicated accounting, business and finance matters.
Although I value the results of my professional experience, it’s the success that my counselees have experienced that I am most proud of. They have become successful senior managers within KPMG and other public Companies, Investment Bankers in private equity firms or significant contributors in their field of work.
I’ll be happy to answer any question. Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.
