My experience consists of teaching for 26 years in the education field. I have taught several different grade levels from kindergarten through high school. I have taught English, Spanish, and dual language 10/90 and 50/50. My experience is with children, high school, adults and college students. I have tutored on two different occasions. The latest one was with students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade. I tutor students in reading, writing, reading comprehension and mathematics. I am bilingual in English/Spanish. I can tutor students in both languages.
Analyzing the students' needs in the area of math is the area to target. Math has many sub-subjects and is imperative to find that area in the students needs to set-up a goal and work on it until the student become a master.

The process of spelling is to create activities for the students to memorize the words in question.
Here is one activity. Two students, student A and student B.
Student A: turns his/her back to student B. Student B does the same thing. They are back to back. Student A has a paper with all the spelling words. He calls one word at a time and student B spells out loud the word that student A call. They continue with this activity until all words have been spelled. Then students switch places and do the activity again.
Throughout the years as a student you learned ways to find strategies to study with better results. Also working in small groups you learned ideas and methods from your peers to become a better student learning greater ways to study. Finally you applied these strategies, ideas and methods to your students and to those that you tutor. I have taught Kindergarten through high school in all subjects.
Writing is a subject that many student have trouble developing. In my experiences in writing activities I have come to use the Thinking Maps and brainstorm with students to generate a great writing paper.
