Willing to try any concept to ensure students learn the material

Although I haven't had much experience in tutoring for money, I have helped tutor not only classmates with their learning problems, but younger children as well. I have tutored friends' children for the past several years in science, math, English, and various other topics. I believe that no student is unable to learn the subject placed before them, rather the method used may be inappropriate. I always strive to discover some form or method which will allow a student to learn the material no matter how difficult the task may seem. I have worked on several degrees myself, finally settling on Business, information management, e-business, with an associates in multimedia and liberal arts as well. I have begun working towards my masters in information systems. I have a varied background in programming languages and web design, as well as chemistry, art, math, and biochemistry. I originally began my school career as an animal science/pre-vet major and moved from there to biochemistry, business, multimedia, and art. While I do not hold a teaching degree in any subjects, I believe that my knowledge base is more than adequate to help any student who is struggling with a subject or subjects.

Track & Field

I trained in track and field for almost 8 years. I was a distance and relay runner for several years and a high jumper. I was also in long jump for a while, as well as discus and shot put. I did a little in hurdles, but my main interests were in distance running and high jump. I am more than adequately prepared to help someone in training or understanding track and field even though I am no longer able to perform the activities.

Web Design

I have a varied background experience in web design. Over the past 12 years not only have I been taking multiple courses in web design software and programming, but I have owned my own design company successfully for the past 6 years. Zoology

I began my college career in animal science with a pre-vet option. I have a background in zoology through this degree. I also have animal science, plant pathology, and several biology courses included in my knowledge base which only help to increase my capabilities in zoology and other science subjects.

Softball

I have played softball for 11 years of my life on a league team. I grew up with the game and have loved it ever since. While I am unable to play any longer, I can still teach the basics of the game, including rules, batting, catching, and fielding. I have a great amount of experience in this game and would love the opportunity to pass on this knowledge to others.

ASP.NET

I have worked with ASP.Net in Visual Studio .NET both for 2005 and 2008 editions. I have a fairly strong background in programming languages and design. I have been working with web design and programming for almost 11 years now. If there is something about ASP.Net that I do not know, I guarantee I will find the answer. I can help students with figuring out beginning ASP.Net as well as other programming such as Javascript, HTML, Visual Basic, etc.

Networking (Computer)

I have been networking computers and devices for almost 11 years. I have taken courses in networking and network design as well as systems design for companies. I a fully capable of working with networking, both with the physical installation of a network and with the computerized aspects of the subject. While I will not claim I am an expert in this area, I do have more than basic knowledge of the concepts. I can help students through their courses and answer questions which they might have.

Drawing

I have worked with art for almost 25 years. While I can paint and work with clay, my favorite art forms are in the drawing arena. I work with a lot of chalk pastels, pencil, and charcoal. My main passion is pastels though. I mainly work with equine art forms, but I am also talented with other wildlife, landscapes, and human subjects. I can help others with learning form and shape, as well as shading techniques and depth and color.

Business

I am a business major with a background in information management and e-business. I have a double bachelors in business. I have owned several small businesses over the past twelve years so I am more than capable of helping others to understand business concepts.

Public Speaking

I have been in numerous courses for public speaking over the years. I was not always the best public speaker. I was generally terrified of crowds, but after having taken several courses, I have learned a great deal about speaking in public and am more than capable of helping others to become so. My degrees are in the business aspects of computers. I have a background education in Oracle SQL database. I have worked with Oracle SQL over the past 7 years. I hold a degree in business administration, information management, e-business, and an associates in multimedia.
