I would like to give a brief introduction of myself in regard to my educational and business encounters concerning diversity. I have had a wide range of multicultural experience in academic, socioeconomic, disability and ethnic backgrounds of students and the community at large. I have had extensive experience in the public and private sectors as a teacher, coordinator, manager, and director. In addition, I have wide-ranging business and entrepreneurial skills and practice. I have experience in the business world with various ethnic and cultural groups, particularly with Quorum International. I was involved in sales, training, and management. I served as an administrator and trainer in various churches.
I have also taught high school seniors and adults at FLS, Fliteline Language Services. These students came from a wide range of ethnic and cultural groups. My job was to teach them English as a second language and/or American culture. Substitute teaching in seven districts with about one hundred schools has enriched my skills and understanding. I have taught in both rich and poor districts with students with various ethnic and language backgrounds. I have taught kindergarten through high school—all subjects, along with special education. I taught at Options For Youth and at Goodwill High School (English III, U.S. and World History, Economics, Business Math, and Integrated Math--Algebra and Geometry).
