With more than 25 years of experience in teaching and tutoring K-12 students, I have learned ways to make learning an adventure that draws on the strengths of each student. Our first session will include talking about educational needs and goals, and discuss an exciting road map to achieve the desired results.
My "official" degrees include a California Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential, an MA in Education, and a CA. Supplementary Art Credential. Being a lifelong learner, I have just completed coursework for an MA in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language). I have also been an ESL specialist with a local district, as well as taught ESL in adult schools in California.
My most memorable experience in education has been lecturing at a TESOL convention in Peru for the past two summers. As an avid nature photographer, my most memorable moment was capturing images of penguins in Antarctica.
