I really love teaching and tutoring elementary and middle school students. I am an energetic, positive former 5th grade teacher of 4 years. For the last 4 years, while home with my kids, I have tutored students in math and was a private math teacher to homeschool students. I hold a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and a current multiple subject teaching credential and I have a real knack for connecting with students.

I believe in encouraging students with positive praise and high expectations. I know all students can succeed with a dynamic teacher in their corner!

Algebra is one of my favorite subjects! I actually ENJOY algebra. Please let me share that enthusiasm with you!

Elementary (K-6th)

I earned my California Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2003 and hold a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara. I am certified to teach all subjects in a self-contained classroom for students K-12, preschool, and adults. I enjoyed 4 years of teaching 5th grade students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I have also privately tutored in math for approximately 4 years, including 3 years of teaching math (through Algebra II) to homeschooled students.

Phonics

I am a certified teacher with a multiple subject teaching credential. I taught 5th grade students from the Open Court Reading system in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 4 years. Phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and writing are emphasized in the program. With my own children I have successfully taught them to read using the Hooked on Phonics reading system. This system emphasizes phonics and was a pleasure to use.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
