I spent 15+ years as a Professor of English, during which time I received a Distinguished Teaching Award for my ability to communicate with students. I routinely received rare perfect scores on teaching evaluations. I was also Executive Director the the Michigan Academy of Science, Arts, and Letters in Ann Arbor, MI. I left academe for a career in business and science writing for an international company headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. I returned to Palo Alto to start up a successful consulting company. Now semi-retired, I enjoyed mentoring and tutoring people from various walks of life with various needs. Effective writing is one of my specialties; I have written several books and articles on the subject and have worked successfully with hundreds (if not thousands) of students and clients.
