I am a dedicated ESL professional to people from all diverse cultural, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. I bring exceptional communication skills and provide a comfortable safe learning environment that puts my students at ease.
My motivation as a teacher has brought many achievements in receiving the highest results of language proficiency. I am best known for the true gift of a teacher's personality and am especially qualified to meet and adapt to your ongoing needs and business requirements.
I am well versed in methodology pertaining to teaching English as a Foreign Language with over twenty-five years experience in teaching ESL. My career in instructing ESL began in Bangkok, Thailand at the American University Alumni through the United States Embassy and the U.S. Information Service where I received extensive ongoing training and taught in their regular, intensive, and advanced programs to students preparing for graduate study in the United States including special programs organized for Thai teachers of English.
I accomplished this through conversational discourses, improvisations, a variety of role-plays, and presentations. I was responsible for all teaching duties, including preparing, grading and performing.
During this time I went on to design and implement English Language training programs for corporations. My clients included: Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Sheraton and Hilton Hotels, Bank of America and other local companies.
In addition, I tutored ESL privately to individual students at their businesses and homes. Clients were comprised of business entrepreneurs, politicians, college students and even a royal family member.
I furthered my oral speaking ability as a TV Voice-Over Announcer for International Broadcasting Corporation in Bangkok, Thailand for almost 10 years and studied in Speech Communications at Marin College in California where I now live and tutor English.
