Person-Centered Tutor! Basic Math/English/Writing/Test-Taking Strategy

Hello out there!

My name is Tim and I have been an academic student for 85% of my life! Now if that doesn't give me credibility then I quit ... Just kidding! My tutoring philosophy rests on the premise that learning can be fun or boring, but at the end of the day it has to get done. When tutoring I focus on discovering how each person learns and then I find the simplest way to assist in that process. Also, with all my pupils, it is imperative that the importance of repetition is emphasized. Learn, do, repeat ... simple as 1,2,3.

In regards to experience, I have been a k-12 substitute teacher for 3 years, and I have also tutored for the GED in classroom, and one-on-one settings. I am also an excellent testing strategist and can help those looking to score higher on their exams. Personally I have taken the following: SAT, SAT II, ACT, CBEST, LSAT, MAT.

I have been a k-12 substitute teacher for 3 years. I have taught the GED for one year and am proficient in all elementary school subjects.

CBEST

I currently am a certified substitute teacher for grades K-12. I passed every section of the CBEST exam personally. I have prior tutoring experience in the areas covered by the exam, and own the testing materials necessary to be successful.
