I graduated from California State University, Northridge with an M.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology, where I began my teaching career as a teaching associate and eventually taught biology laboratory courses while working on my Master's degree. In addition to my college teaching experience, I have worked as a professional tutor at a supplemental educational program for the past five years, and worked as an assistant teacher in a public school in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. Upon obtaining my Master's Degree, I taught general biology courses at the College of the Canyons and worked as a Substitute Teacher for Direct Ed Solutions. My professional training includes organization, management, leadership, study skills, time management, creative teaching strategies, and goal-setting. I instruct mathematics through Pre-calculus, science through Biology and Chemistry, and English Language Arts through 8th grade. As a result of tutelage by me, myriad students have seen significant improvement in their academic skills as well as their standardized and curricular test scores. Having published my thesis project in Experimental Biology Journal, I have proven myself to be competent and knowledgeable in my subject matter. In my free time, I enjoy playing the musical keyboard and reading novels.
