Hello parents and students,
I graduated with a 3.5gpa from UCLA with a degree in English. I currently tutor with the Glendale Learning Program, working with Wilson Middle school students. I help students with various levels of math and English courses. I have also tutored students at Glendale Community College as a supplementary instructor in economics. Teaching is important to me and my family, both of my parents are instructors at LACC. I have also provided lessons in basketball and soccer for children ages 11-15, working with them one-on-one in the fundamentals and mental aspect of the game.
I believe the best way to help students will be to start with the foundations, and build confidence to enable them to approach difficult problems with the conviction and attitude of a winner. My students learn multiple approaches to problems and deftly maneuver through various obstacles. Instead of giving tedious, mind-numbing drill sets of similar problems, I offer an analytical method that assesses the question type. Students enjoy accessing their ever increasing database of tools that attack problems.
My study habits have developed with my enthusiasm for sports. I take on each assignment like an athlete against an opponent. My students are zealous in the classroom and competition as well as fearless on tests.
