I have a B.S.degree in Chemistry and M.S.in Chemical Engineering from St. Petersburg State Chemico-Pharmaceutical Academy. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the Moscow State University and completed postdoctoral training at the Ohio State University. More than 15 years I worked as a research faculty at the University of Illinois at Chicago and University of Chicago. I always try to present complex problems in a way that would be clear to student. I have a great passion for science, which makes learning an enjoyable process for students even when it is a hard work.
I taught and trained a biochemistry/molecular biology to numerous undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Biological Sciences and microbiology to medical students in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, I serve as a LINC advisor at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy.
My extensive science education experience and field research gives me a unique opportunity to help students in their learning process.
When I start, I hold a detailed conversation with the parents or the student to understand their needs and expectations. I will use the same text book student follows in school. This helps me follow the same curriculum that the student learns in school, and avoids confusion for the student.
