I have worked with children for as long as I can remember. I have tutored children ever since I was in high school. I have worked in schools for the past seven years in a variety of capacities. As much as I enjoy teaching a full classroom of students, there is something different and special about one on one tutoring. The tutor can truly tailor the tutoring based on the student's interests and strengths and can catch errors earlier. I believe that making mistakes is OK-- as I tell students, mistakes are how we learn. I know that I can relate well to students, both boys and girls alike.
I am truly interested in helping students succeed through tutoring. I am not interested in being a "homework buddy" or someone hired to sit there while a child does their homework and does not need help. It is not a good use of my time or your child's time if they do not actually need the assistance and extra attention.
