I've been teaching different levels of math from basic to calculus for about 27 years: 15 years in Armenia and 12 in the U.S. It's been a great pleasure to be a part of my students' success, to see their growth, to help them face challenges and overcome fears. I've developed a lot of instructional materials that make math easy to deal with. I hope that my skills and love of teaching will benefit a lot of people.
I came to the United States about 13 years ago. After 1 year of Intensive English Program at Evans CAS, I became a math teacher at the same school, working with students of different age groups and cultural backgrounds. In addition to regular teaching, I've been tutoring math students, developing tools to make my teaching more productive, and training other math teachers.
I base my teaching on students' learning styles. It takes instruction in a right direction from the start. My students learn how to treat the material with creativity and make it work for themselves, and how to deal with time-consuming math workouts without spending a lot of time on it. Creating different instructional materials for different students is a part of tutoring. It helps them grow and build confidence. And the confidence builds love towards math.
