I graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor's of Science and Dean's List status. During this time, I was awarded a research fellowship, and I authored literature that appeared in the Journal of Structural Biology and the Journal of Neuroscience Research. I have scored in the 95% range on my GREs, and was a National Merit Commended Scholar for my performance on the PSAT and SAT exams. I have enabled students to reach their maximum potential on standardized examinations (up to a 650 point increase on the SAT exams!) as well as on school work, and to get into the college of their dreams!

While in my first year of medical school, I took both Anatomy and Physiology lecture and lab. I used resources such as Grant's Dissector, Clinically Oriented Anatomy, and BRS Physiology, among others. I have a good grasp of commonly tested topics, and I have an organized systems based approach of teaching that integrates concepts in both fields.
I have taken Biostatistics as part of my studies during my first two years of medical school at NYCOM. I am familiar with finding incidence, prevalence, positive and negative predictive values, and relative risk, among other values. I am also familiar with types of bias, and with different statistical tests, such as t-test, chi-squared, z-test, and anova.
I have previously tutored students in strategizing for college applications. Based on their GPA and SAT score, desired location, and financial budget, I help them come up with a list of colleges that fall into 3 categories: reach schools, likely schools, and safety schools. I then help them create a timeline for completing applications and organizing extra materials. Since I am certified in writing and English, I also provide assistance in brainstorming and editing college essays. Additionally, since I am certified in SAT prep, if their SAT score is not competitive enough for the desired school, I offer SAT tutoring to help them raise their score.
I have studied microbiology extensively as part of my two years at medical school. I am familiar with gram negative vs gram postive bacteria (ex. strep vs. e coli) and I am also familiar with categorizing bacteria according to shape (ex. cocci - strep, trepenoma pallidum - spirochete). I am also well versed in viruses and parasites.
I am currently an IT Professional working at Nestle and I use Microsoft Office on a daily basis. I am well versed with its many features, including Creating and Implementing Rules, Creating Subfolders, Categorizing mail by color, flagging mail, inserting pictures, search, using the 3 pane view, and attaching files and outlook items. I am also aware of little tricks, such as forwarding an e-mail instead of replying in order to keep the attachment and an inserted picture.
Additionally, I am well versed with the Calendar features of Microsoft Outlook, and I have know how to create and set meetings and appointments, and how to integrate meetings with RSVP Client. I have also conducted and attended Live Meetings using Outlook. Moreover, I am familiar with viewing and inserting contact details.
I have used MS Windows for the past 15 years, throughout grade school, high school, college, grad school, and now as an IT Professional. I am familiar with the many word processing features, including Track Changes, Spelling and Grammar Check, Thesaurus (Shift F7), insertion of special characters/symbols, Word Art, Insertion of Tables/Excel Tables, and many more. I am well versed with the use, mechanism of actions, and adverse effects of a wide variety of drug groups, such as direct sympathomimetics (phenylephrine, methoxamine), alpha adrenergic blockers (phentolamine), antiamoebics (metronidazole), among others. I will come prepared with charts and diagrams to lessons explaining all aspects of the drugs and associated bugs.
