With over 25 years of experience in digital art and animation, as well as several years of teaching experience, I understand how daunting the idea of programs like Photoshop can be. Fear not. My knowledge when I started as a game artist was so non-existent that I had to ask a co-worker how to turn the computer on. I then waited to be fired. I wasn't. Instead I was shown that the computer is simply a tool - a really, really cool and powerful tool - but still just a tool, like a pencil or a paintbrush. Coming from a traditional art background, which included a deep fear of anything digital, I taught myself how to use this tool because I had to be productive with it. I enjoy sparing others the pain I had to endure during that process. I speak English, not techno-babble. I am not a programmer, I am an artist. If you're interested in programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, then you probably are too. All you need is someone to show you how to use the paintbrush, in language you can understand.
