I recently graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design, with a degree in Animation. During my studies at SCAD, I have learned both the traditional and digital way of drawing. I have a position as an assistant teacher in Tustin. I also volunteer as a TA at my local church. I have also done professional work as an artist. I undertook an outside project drawing characters and storyboards for an animated series that is currently in development.
I have also worked on graphic design and layouts for the Korean pop culture magazine Hallyu. Right now I am currently working on project for TV show/web series that is also in development. I also work part time as an assistant teacher for Tal Dvir's Fine Art Classes.
As a tutor, I will be teaching the student the way I was taught to learn how to draw. I will begin teaching the student with the basics, one step at a time. I would teach them how to draw the basic shape of cubes, spheres, cylinders (or items that are similar to basic shapes). Soon after, the items will be challenging like a teddy bear, or anything with complex shape and texture. By that time, the student will fully understand the shape of the still life from the basics. As for the mediums to draw, the student will start out in graphite pencil, and then in charcoal. After that, we will move to painting with watercolor, and then in acrylics.
For digital art/drawing, the student is going to first learn the basic tools for Photoshop and the first work will be photo editing, then photo manipulation, and soon the progress will scale up just like traditional practice.
